Internet shopping hit an all-time high last week

Posted in Uncategorized by sp07 on the December 17, 2007

Kate says:
A payment processing company have reported that online spending hit a record high at 1.09pm on 10th December.

Shoppers spent £767,500 over the internet within 60 seconds at that time - the most money per minute ever spent online by UK shoppers.

The surge in spending is expected to make today the biggest ever online shopping day for the UK, according to Retail Decisions which processes card payments.

Shoppers will splash out a predicted £370 million online today - 106% more than on the second Monday of December last year.

If this isn’t an incentive to get on-line then I’m not sure what is!!

I am doing a little business via the website but I feel potential customers are put off by the absence of a shopping cart. A while ago we were advised that this is coming soon, please advise when.

    Hi John
Thanks for your comment and great to hear you’ve started doing business through your site. I’ve talked with our technical manager this morning and he assures me the shopping cart is a top priority and is confident it will be available by the end of January, if not before.

Meanwhile, please don’t forget our offer of a free marketing report. A search engine expert will appraise your site from a marketing point of view and give you some hints and tips, which can be invaluable. Just email us if you’d like to do that.
